"Rogue Huntress" is another dark, gritty and action-packed story from Ms. Atkinson. Shana, a she-wolf and assassin, for the Beo pack has been betrayed when her half-brother Caleb executes a coup, killing the alpha and Shana's father, along with any other wolves that oppose him. But, he needs Shana to submit to him as alpha and she refuses. Throw in Jeb, a sexy human torturer/hunter, that pumps Shana full of silver so she can't escape and you've got one intense and heart-pounding story! There's lots twists and turns in this book. Who can Shana trust? Just when you think you know what's going to happen, there's another twist you won't see coming. I couldn't put the book down and had to keep reading to find out what happens.Ms. Atkinson is one of my favorite authors and she does not disappoint with this new series. She pulls the reader in with insights into each character. What makes them tick? What do they want? This story does contain sex scenes so be warned although they do not overpower the story. I can hardly wait to see what happens in book 2. September seems so far away especially when I want more story now!! Highly Recommended.

If you like shifter book then this is one you should read. Reading this book will take your emotions on a roller coaster. This story is told from Shanas POV. Betrayal, action. this series is awesome!
Plenty of action, hot romance and a strong female lead along with fast paced writing, what more can we expect from a good author and an alpha female other than to enjoy the ride.
I found myself staying up later than usual, just so I could read a few more chapters of Thea's book. It has parts that remind me of epic fantasies I used to read in the 6th grade; the nostalgia washed over me as I did. And the romantic tension was amazing. This author knows what she's doing. Dude. Read it for yourself.
I really enjoyed the story line - strong characters, tension with resolution, suspense, emotional depth. The only reason I have it 3 stars was the editing. Too many wrong words, repeated words, there instead of they're, and other grammatical and spelling errors - it became very distracting. I expect that in an ARC copy, not in the final product. And unusual in one of Thea's books. Still...recommend it!
Rogue Huntress (Rogue Huntress Chronicles #1) by Thea Atkinson is about a tough, no-nonsense werewolf. I love the fact she didn't give in and she is one tough chick, or wolf... The plot is awesome with so many twists and surprises and fun characters, (and those not so fun but interesting). Well developed characters with great action scenes and dialogue. Wonderful story that kept me glued. Can't wait to read the next one!
Shana is kept prisoner while Caleb tries to make her agree to bond with him. After killing her father with the help of Jeb, she resists while her brothers' lives are held in the balance. She knows that Caleb will not keep his word and let her brothers live. Her only hope is to lull him into thinking he has won, and escape. Dark, gritty, different take on werewolf lore. Needed some editing, but a good read.
Holy Smokes !! This story is an action packed runaway train that starts off fast and never slows down !! Not even for the topsy-turvy hairpin curves !! Shana is the daughter/assassin of the Beo pack, she's been deceived by her step brother Caleb, who killed her father and took her younger brothers prisoner while she was gone on assignment. Caleb has a major problem though, the pack won't accept him as Alpha without Shana's giving into him , bowing down to him and bonding in the way of werewolves, and Shana's going to fight him to one of their deaths before she let's that happen ! Enter Jeb, the human male who follows all of Caleb's orders, including shooting Shana with silver to keep her from shifting, but all is not as it seems. What does Caleb hold over Jeb? What is Jeb's end game ? Read this book to find out , exactly what happens, as the two people who shouldn't fall in love do, and how they possibly make it to their Happily Ever After. Thea Atkinson has written a 5☆ book that keeps you guessing until the very end !!
